Who says vegetarian food isn’t flavorful?  This simple recipe is one of the most delicious vegetarian meals I have ever had.  I am not sure what makes these eggs Turkish, other than the fact that the recipe is based upon one from Turkish: A Collection of Over 90 Essential Recipes ($10 on Amazon).  But egads, are they delicious!

Cooking your own Thai food at home is easier than you might think.  After all, Thai cuisine is all about taking fresh ingredients and cooking them in a way that is simple and quick.  These days, even tracking down authentic Thai ingredients is a piece of cake, with more and more grocery stores stocking essentials like curry paste and rice noodles.

About a year ago I made it a goal of mine to cut down on my diet soda intake.  For years I indulged in its pseudo-sweet, super-bubbly, über-caffeinated goodness on daily basis… and eventually, I realized I might actually be addicted!

So why not just continue drinking diet soda 24/7?  Well, I have two major reasons why diet soda is bad for you:

  1. Diet soda is filled with creepy chemicals I can’t even pronounce.
  2. The artificial sweetener in diet soda actually causes junk food cravings.

Despite these compelling reasons to quit, I still drink diet soda pretty frequently–but I have managed to cut down my consumption significantly by subbing in iced tea or sparkling water as often as possible.  When my boyfriend’s (very thoughtful and generous) mom got me the SodaStream Genesis Home Soda Maker, I was over the moon!
