I have mentioned on this blog that I only recently learned how to do my own manicures. What I didn’t mention is that a particular brand of nail polish made all the difference: Zoya.

Zoya Nail Polish: Lindsay, Ibiza, Trixie, Eva, Charla, Julieanne, Ali, and Caitlin.
After years of dealing with the runny, streaky formulas and unforgiving brushes of some other brands–only to discover frustrating chips and bubbles later that same day–I finally found a polish that makes me smile, not struggle. Best of all, I got to try a few of their polishes absolutely free as part of a promotion. Their investment paid off, as I have since gone on to purchase several more of Zoya’s beautiful shades! Some of my favorites include Eva, Lindsay, Ali, Trixie, and Charla.

I just can’t get enough. Zoya’s smooth-as-butter formula and shorter, fatter brush really make application easy–and it lasts and lasts! I always get several days out of a Zoya manicure–sometimes well over a week. The cherry on top? Zoya polishes are free of toxic chemicals like toluene, formaldehyde, DBP, and camphor.
Get Zoya Natural Nail Polish for $8 at Whole Foods, Ulta, and Zoya.com.
Have you tried Zoya Nail Polish? What are your favorite shades?
I first discovered Badger Balm whilst cruising the cosmetics aisle of my favorite health food store. I was immediately intrigued by their aromatherapy tins promising natural relief from all kinds of ailments, from headaches and stress to insomnia and absentmindedness. I also liked what I saw on the back of the labels: each product uses just a few simple organic ingredients. The base is made up of extra virgin olive oil and beeswax, with various essential oils for scent.
So far, I have accumulated five Badger Balm products: Lavender & Bergamot Sleep Balm, Sweet Orange & Spearmint Cheerful Mind Balm, Lavender & Orange Lip Balm, Lime Rocket Lip Balm, and Poetic Pomegranate Lip Balm.
Read on for my full review on each of these all-natural, organic products!
About a year ago I made it a goal of mine to cut down on my diet soda intake. For years I indulged in its pseudo-sweet, super-bubbly, über-caffeinated goodness on daily basis… and eventually, I realized I might actually be addicted!
So why not just continue drinking diet soda 24/7? Well, I have two major reasons why diet soda is bad for you:
- Diet soda is filled with creepy chemicals I can’t even pronounce.
- The artificial sweetener in diet soda actually causes junk food cravings.
Despite these compelling reasons to quit, I still drink diet soda pretty frequently–but I have managed to cut down my consumption significantly by subbing in iced tea or sparkling water as often as possible. When my boyfriend’s (very thoughtful and generous) mom got me the SodaStream Genesis Home Soda Maker, I was over the moon!
So, how does it work? Is it easy to use? How does it taste? Read on for my full review!
